Looking for an interesting way for your students to learn about the ten sources of energy? This pack may be just what you are looking for...
- Background Information
- Multiple Interactive Pages for each Energy Source
- Links to FREE and Cheap Energy Materials (like coal samples, etc.)
Students will each need a book made with 6 pages of 12 x 18 colored construction paper. Any color of construction paper works, I let the students choose what color they want to use. Fold the paper in half and staple down the left side to make them into a book. Students will make a cover with the different sources of energy pictures. They can also add the names of the energy sources and a name for their book. Inside the book, each energy source will need two side-by-side pages for the interactive pieces. There are also pages for background information about renewable and non-renewable energy sources.
Natural Gas Solar
This book usually takes about a month to create in my classroom. We also do some hands-on science labs for the different energy sources while we are working on the different pages of information. I give students a short quiz on each source. You can choose whether to let them use their notes for the quiz.
