In Ten Week Vocabulary Study, students learn 20 new words on Day 1-4 during the week by encountering five new words each day in a paragraph selected from various readings. On the basis of the paragraph, students try to use the new words in completing sentences. Then, having seen and used the new words in sentences, students try to pair the words with their meanings. Also, students are introduced to an "Idiom of the Day." On Day 5 during the week students take a quiz by matching the best possible definition with the words and idioms they have studied for that week.
These vocabulary worksheets take no more than 15 minutes each day, and at the end of ten weeks, students will have added 200 new words and 40 idioms to their vocabulary mastery.
These vocabulary worksheets are perfect for homework assignments, improving overall grades, and doing better on standardized tests.
An Answer Key is included.
