This is a simple Battleship game I made to practice "tener que" with my Spanish 1 students. They play in pairs and try to sink each other's battleships. They first mark four squares with whatever symbol they want to use for their ships. Then they try to determine where their partner's ships are by using the subjects on the left and the verbs on the top to make sentences. I have more complicated versions of this, but I wanted something quick and easy to explain! My students enjoyed this very much!
