These illustrated vocabulary cards with definitions are designed to be used with Unit #3 of Gibbs Smith’s Tennessee Through Time textbook and are inspired by Tennessee CCSS for fourth grade social studies. However, they may be used with any curriculum that would benefit from visual representations and explanations of key terms related to United States early history or geography.
Vocabulary words included (with illustrations and definitions) in this product include: agriculture, ancestor, archaeologist, artifact, ceremony, chiefdom, clan, conflict, council, craftsman, culture, harmony, historic, hunter-gatherer, native, palisade, petroglyph, prehistoric, preserve, principal, respect, till, tradition, and wattle and daub.
