This resource is designed to be used with Botley the Coding Robot. Botley will help reinforce Tens and Ones and coding at the same time! This packet contains 11 large tens and ones block cards for building Botley’s mat using numbers 10-20. It also contains 33 number task cards. There are three sets of tasks cards. One set contains task cards with ten frames and dots representing teen numbers. This set can be used when introducing tens and ones or with students needing some extra support. The second set of task cards are numeral cards 10-20. The third set of task cards have number phrases with tens and ones.

Simply print and cut the large number squares. Attach them to chart paper, bulletin board paper or poster board to create a work mat grid for Botley. The number squares can be configured any way you want, just be sure to include the Start card.

Botley can be used during math centers or during small group instruction. This packet will allow you to differentiate for different levels of learners in your class. A programming sheet is also included to help your students show their thinking. Place the programming sheets inside sheet protectors to make an easy dry erase resource. Happy coding!
