Tentacle Trek teaches students about the most common sources of plastic pollution in the ocean, while encouraging interaction and play within a group of 2-4 peers in a fun, short activity. In this game, players will each play as an octopus racing to reach their home coral reef, navigating through a sea of increasing pollution.
Use this game as an introduction to a marine science or human environmental impacts unit to get students excited for what lies ahead, or use it as a break between heavier activities. The game works well by itself or with follow-up investigation and sharing by students.
