Being able to make connections to their learning is very important for our students. Concept mapping is a great way to achieve this. This concept map is to help your students make connections between the terrestrial biomes of the world.
*Aligned with Georgia Performance Standards:
Students will examine the dependence of organisms on one another and their environments.
Describe the characteristics of Earth’s major terrestrial biomes (i.e. tropical rain forest, savannah, temperate, desert, taiga, tundra, and mountain) and aquatic communities (i.e. freshwater, estuaries, and marine).
*This product can be used as a pre-unit formative assessment to see which biomes your students are already familiar with.
*This product can be used as a post-unit assessment or part of a unit assessment.
