Product Description
PowerPoint, Notes Sheet, and reading/writing activity on the Edward Snowden case. Use this lesson to teach students the definitions of terrorism, crime, and crimes against the country (the difference between treason and espionage). When I used this lesson, it ended up being a great opportunity to discuss the events that led to Edward Snowden seeking asylum and sparked a debate on whether or not there was wrongdoing. Ultimately, you -want- the students to see the pros and cons of his actions and use this as a segway into future, more detailed lessons about terrorism and the ways terrorists could ultimately spy on the US.
