Test Prep Poster Activity
This test prep poster activity is a fun writing activity to get your kids thinking about 'THE TEST" in a positive way. Let them embrace the moment (if that's possible... ha )and share their thoughts by using this 8.5 x 11 test prep poster. It's a great conversation starter a week or so before the big standardized test. Also, use it as a follow up activity when reading a fun test taking book, such as Testing Miss Malarkey.
This poster will look great hanging outside your classroom, and parents will enjoy reading them when they are sent home.
This test prep poster activity has plenty of places for students to add their own creative touches with color as they color the black lined test taking themed pictures.
You could also use as a literacy center activity, or it makes for a great morning work activity. Please use it in your classroom however you would like.
NOTE: I have lots of other posters, so don't forget to check them out.
The sections for the students to fill out are:
*box for name
*Positive word cloud where students list positive words to think of when they take the test, such as the word brilliant
*Test taking tips - students have a space for 3 tips
*(Sentence starter)... Doing well on the test is important because....Students can then expand on this writing another sentence or two.
*(Sentence starter) I think tests are ___ because.......
These sentence starters are a fun way to get to know your students inner thinking. :-) They are always fun to read.
