Doing some test prep in the classroom? This little Test Taking Brochure Activity has a Football Theme... Score Big! As the state testing nears, get your kids thinking positively about test preparation.
Get your students thinking about the end of the year test with this fun brochure activity. It will work perfectly for an interactive notebook, too!
** A girl and boy version are included.
The is a double fold (sides fold to the center) brochure that is filled with writing opportunities. Students will fill in the following:
*Positive words to remember on 'game day'
*Write an acrostic poem about testing using the word Score.
*It's time for a touch down! Before the test, I will...., During the test, I will....., After the test, I will.....
*#1 test taking tip
*Create a catch slogan using the words given related to 'game day' and then illustrate. For example, "Tomorrow is the Super Bowl... Be ready to Play!"... This would mean, tomorrow is the important test day, so be ready to take the test. :-)
Note: The last writing activity mentioned above is on the back of the brochure. If you choose to glue this activity into an interactive journal, your students simply will not do that activity. They will put glue on the back and that will be the part that is glued onto the journal page.
This is a great follow up activity to a book on testing, such as Testing Mrs. Malarkey.
