Test question analysis helps students maximize their performance on those often-trickily-worded state assessments. Using this fun bingo game, students practice identifying test question types. The types of questions practiced are author's purpose, cause and effect, character traits, compare and contrast, drawing conclusions, inference, main idea, sequence, summary, supporting details, theme, and word meaning. Students create their own bingo cards by writing on a blank template. The teacher draws a bingo calling card and reads a sample test question aloud. Students cover the answer if it is on their cards. Great test prep for small groups or the whole class!
The following items are included:
• Blank bingo card (1 page)
• 30 calling cards with sample test questions & game information (4 pages)
• TOU & Credits (1 page)
After a few games, have students discuss words or phrases within the test question that helped them identify its type. For example, mostly about is usually a clue for main idea.
