Enforce the test-taking skill
of following directions
with this handy resource.
This printable 1-page activity
uses a humorous approach
to teach students the value of CAREFUL READING and FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS.
In the directions, students are told to read the entire test
before answering any questions. Then they are given a list of 15 easy-to-answer questions or prompts
The 15th prompt says, “If you read the directions, you know that you should not have written anything yet. Leave the questions blank,
turn the sheet over and doodle on the back or write a quick note to me. Later you can congratulate yourself for following directions well.”
This activity is suitable for middle school, high school, and college classes.
