Did you know that the person asking the most questions is doing the most learning?
Well, why not turn the tables
and have the students ask the questions instead? This activity can be used as an assessment
, or as a literacy center
:The students read a book, and write questions about what they read as they move through the book. There will be a question for each page
, and it must be about something that happened on that page.
They also write the answer, too, so you can check their understanding of the book. There is also the option to have the students partner read the book again, and be the "teacher" and ask their partner the question for each page.
This could be done in whole group, small group, or as a literacy center.
