Tests for Parallelograms
In this lesson, students will learn the five ways to prove a quadrilateral is a parallelogram.
• Warm-Up -
Students are given a diagram of a parallelogram and must find missing angle measures and lengths.
• Guided Notes -
Two versions are included: mostly complete and fill-in-the-blank. The notes are 2 pages long. Examples are included. The second page is a long coordinate geometry example where students will use three different methods to prove a quadrilateral is a parallelogram.
• Homework -
The homework is 2 pages and 12 questions. Some of the questions require students to solve equations. Three of the questions use coordinate geometry.
• Answer Keys -
Completely worked out answer keys are included.
