This model has been designed to supplement other sources of information on life in Texas. The model design was based on the dogtrot house and out buildings at the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park in Johnson City Texas. This structure was chosen as being representative of the type because it had not been extensively modified since the early 1860’s when it was built. The scale is 1/72 (1inch = 6 feet).
Includes paper patterns and instructions. Students color copies of the parts, cut them out, and glue them together.
