This is a great resource to use when covering the TEKS listed above regarding the Texas Frontier. This product contains:
3 passages with graphic organizers and vocabulary study (with answer keys) for the following:
Two graphing activities that will build upon math skills and at the same time teach about the population of four major Texas cities and the expansion of the railroad in Texas from 1860 - 1900.
Vocabulary Cards including people and events (and some fun games you can play whole group using them)
A Cowgirl's Life (biography writing assignment)
What Brand Are You? (creative extension activity)
If your district follows TEKS Resource (formerly C-scope), this is most of what you will need to teach this 14 day unit.
I hope you and your students will enjoy using this product.
