    Description

Buy it all and save! Purchase the bundle of Texas History activities for huge savings! In this bundle, you will receive all of my Texas Revolution lessons. Each of these lessons involve an Interactive Student Notebook component and are designed for maximum engagement for your students. You will receive a variety of lessons that you can use for extension for your PreAP students, and for modifications for your ELL students.

How would I use this bundle? Here is the order of the activities you can use -

    - The Texas Revolution Famous Texans and Quotes - print up and make your bulletin board.

    - The Texas Revolution Lap Book and Readings - Make the lap book at the beginning of the unit. Use the PowerPoint and readings to guide your students through the events leading to the Revolution. You have an ELL version available as well.

    - The Fredonian Rebellion - Do you want to dig deeper into the first event leading to the Texas Revolution? Do you want to incorporate more writing? This activity can be used for your PreAP students, and a modified version for your ELL (included in the bonus).

    - The Decree of April 6th, 1830 - This is a great activity to hook your students! Use it before you teach the rest of the events leading to the Revolution (in the middle of the lap book).

    - What is a Just War? - I loved looking at the Texas Revolution through the lens of a "Just War". This is a great activity to use with your PreAP students. Teach the principles of a Just War, and then reflect on whether or not the Texas Revolution was Just.

    - The Texas Revolution Museum Activity - This activity provides your students opportunities to dig deep into the Texas Revolution. Use it after you have taught all of the events leading to the Revolution (in the middle of the lap book).

    - Texas Revolution Important People with Doodle Notes- This activity provides greater depth to the readings in the lap book. It will also work as a review prior to an assessment.

    - The Alamo Walls Speak - This is an extension activity for your PreAP students, or if you want your students to write more.

    Review Activities

Each of these resources can be used to review the events and people of the Texas Revolution. You can use these prior to a benchmark or exam - and even set them up as stations.

    - The Texas Revolution Sequencing Game - Events Leading to the Texas Revolution

    - The Texas Revolution Odd One Out - provides practice with primary sources

    - Texas Revolution Task Cards - can be turned into multiple games (check out my blog for more ideas - https://www.socialstudiessuccess.com/2019/10/playing-games-with-task-cards.html

Quote from a buyer - "I loved this bundle. One of my top TPT purchases from this school year by far. It provided an adequate challenge for my student as well as great activities for my visual and kinesthetic learners who struggle to connect the dots sometimes. Looking forward to incorporating even more of these into my class next year!"
