Students review the causes, people, events, and battles from the Texas Revolution by creating a collection of newspaper front pages. There are academic and creative requirements to this project and students must cover 15 items from the time period. A sample list of 40 topics to choose from is included (such as the Grass Fight, Runaway Scrape, Mier y Teran Report, Law of April 6, 1830, Sam Houston, the Angel of Goliad, James Fannin, General Cos, Austin's arrest, the Alamo, Battle of San Jacinto, and more!!!), as well as three sample layouts and a points distribution. This could work for a sub! See the preview for a closer look.
