Includes 32 informational text task cards and 32 literature task cards.
Create text dependent thinkers and promote text talk. Students will use speaking and listening skills in pairs, Kagan groups, or guided reading groups while finding and discussing text evidence to support the answers to the task cards.
This is a great way to integrate science and social studies into the reading block as you may use this center with ANY literature or nonfiction text!
Simply choose the boards that fit your "ink level comfort zone" and cut the question cards. Use with the two color counters from your math manipulatives, or place boards in sheet protectors and use with two different colored dry erase markers.
Use this game over and over throughout the year. Each new story or informational text piece creates an entire new game!
The game includes 4 high-color game boards, 4 medium color game boards, and 4 minimal color game boards, teacher instruction page, student instruction page, 32 informational text task cards, 32 literature task cards, and 2 optional images for the reverse side of each task card set.
Each game board set includes surf kids with a variety of hair, eye, and skin tones.

Students will already know how to play the games through use in reading. Simply replace reading task cards provided with your math flash cards to make an instant math center!
