Product Description

These cards will get your students to use the text and prove their answers! The fun detective theme engages students as they become reading detectives!

This product includes:

  • Textual evidence "sentence starter" cards - Many students don't know how to write their responses to reading questions. I've provided a sheet of sentence starters to help them write their responses.
  • Student response sheets - I've created two different sheets for students to write their responses. Both are a half page with a notepad theme. You can also have them write on notebook paper.
  • 48 task cards - These detective-themed task cards ask students to find an answer in the text and prove it with evidence. Each card is specific to a genre, a literature standard, or an informational text standard.
