Description

Teaching students to find text evidence to support their answers is an important reading strategy and test taking strategy. This packet contains a FREE text evidence lesson! All of the materials are included so that you can easily replicate the lesson.

It contains three activities:

1. An Anchor Chart- Use this to help students differentiate between "right-there" questions and "infer-using-text-clues" questions!

2. Sentence Starter Bookmarks- The "right-there" bookmark contains five sentence starters, and the ""infer-using-text-clues" contains five different sentence starters.

3. Two Reading Passages- Each passage is followed by three questions. Students can use the sentence starter bookmarks to help them compose their answers. (You can either use the printable version or assign these passages as a Easel Activity.)

Read about how I conduct this text evidence lesson and check out my matching anchor chart at my blog: Crafting Connections.
