Prepare your students for Common Core assessments, like PARCC and TNReady, with this product! This activity makes a perfect independent or small group center for students to practice using text evidence to answer comprehension questions about a piece of literature. Students have to read a passage, generate an answers to text-based questions, located text evidence to support the answers, and then explain how the evidence supports the answers. Two different passages with text-based questions are included. The first activity is hands-on and can be completed independently or within a small group. The second activity is designed as an independent practice page or assessment.
