I used this with my class this year, during our first unit of Informational Reading. I provided my students with magazines (such as storyworks, or weekly readers) & had them go on a scavenger hunt for NF text features. They cut out the features from the magazines, filled out a slip identifying the feature & its function & created a poster. There is a rubric attached.
I teach a 4th grade, self-contained, 12:1 class.
