PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A text impression is a pre-reading activity where the teacher gives students a list of words from a text (in this case, a short story) in the order they will appear in the text. Student write a predictive summary of what they think the story will be about. Then, once students read the text, they check and verify their predictions. As an after-reading activity, students can re-write the text impression with the correct information.
