What is Text Reformulation?
This strategy involves taking one type of text (for example, a news article) and transforming it into a different type of text, such as a short story, poem, play, diary, etc. This is done in order to help foster a deeper understanding of the original work. Through the use of this approach, students will determine authorial intent, reread passages, solidify their own opinions, and support those opinions with evidence.
