This is a page to add to a student interactive notebook as a reference after teaching the text structures. In addition, there is a student practice page (also for the interactive notebook) to practice identifying the type of text structure appropriate for certain topics. These are sized so as to fit into a composition notebook. Even if your students aren't using an IN, this would still be a useful chart to keep in a binder, etc.
** 1/31/13 - I just added a new product you may be interested in if you purchase this product. The "Text Structure Explained" Interactive Powerpoint is meant to explain to students WHY text structure is important. When someone explained the concept to me in way, it was a "light bulb" moment for me. I developed this Powerpoint lesson to share that with my students. Check out the preview to see if this lesson would be helpful to your students.
