Use these 8 story task cards to help your students gain confidence in determining the text structure of a passage of text. There is an answer sheet for students to identify if the text structure is description, sequence, compare and contrast, cause and effect, or problem and solution. There is also an answer key so students can check their own work. There are two challenge cards included with three activities on each card to deepen understanding and extend learning. There is one poster on text structure and a graphic organizer for each structure: sequencing, description, compare and contrast, cause and effect, and problem and solution . These are a great resource for students to organize information. You can use this product as a center activity or a whole-class lesson. My students especially enjoy working on these task cards with a partner or in a small group. Please note that I have carefully written and looked over this product. If you find a mistake, please let me know and I will be sure to correct it.
