This resource contains several resources for you to use to explicitly teach informational text structures to your students.
Click here to check out my Reading Units Bundle for 4th and 5th Grade that includes this resource and SEVEN other resources.
Here is what is included:
1. Posters for each text structure and a one page poster that covers all the text structures (Color and Black and White Versions)
2. Essential Questions
3. Graphic Organizers, INB Templates, and Printables
4. Two Sets of Passages: One introductory set and one more advanced
5. Text Structure Activities: Writing Activity and 32 Task Cards
About the Passages:
There are two sets of passages, one per text structure in each set.
Set 1: The first set includes one shorter, more focused paragraph per text structure. This set is best for introducing each text structure.
Set 2: The second set includes one multi-paragraph passage for each text structure. Each passage in the set has the same overall topic of pollution. This set is more advanced and perfect for small-group lessons and/or lessons that focus on comparing and contrasting text structure.
See the preview for more information.
