This is a fun activity that I created for my students while we were doing a Non-fiction Text Structures Unit. I wanted to give my students an opportunity to show how well they knew the information, by letting them create their own examples of these text structures. They were supposed to draw something in each of these that shows a problem and a solution or a cause and an effect, etc. Then they write in a short paragraph what was happening. Finally, they use the graphic organizer to prove that it is whichever text structure they claim it is. We did this to help us review for our test and it was really fun and effective. It made for great hallway artwork as well!
