- 5-page independent practice
- Anchor Chart
Directions and Suggestions
Start this lesson off by printing enough "Exploring Text Structures" Notes. Be sure to include the check for understanding on the back (titled "Identify the Text Structure"). Then, present the lesson via Google Slides! That's it! For extra practice, print out the 5-page text structure independent practice. An anchor chart is also included to use as needed!
PRO TIP: There are higher-order thinking questions on each slide. Ask your students these questions as a whole group. This allows the slower writers to write down all of the information AND challenges your students to think deeply about the content presented.
