This interactive game is designed to help students focus on key words used in identifying different text structures including: Cause/Effect, Problem/Solution, Compare/Contrast, Description and Sequence. The game is played by cutting out the sentence boxes on the first page and letting teams of students race to organize and place them into the correct structure column on the second page.
This activity is very versatile! It would make a great individual review activity. It could also be used as an effective tool in promoting group discussion on text structure categories.
