Product Description
This activity has students compare the thoughts of Death, the narrator of Book Thief, to Anne Frank's thoughts which are based loosely on things she said in the play, The Diary of Anne Frank.

Students are given seven themes and seven journal entries for each character to match as a quick look at themes and motifs across Holocaust events/survivors and from the two unique, yet surprisingly similar viewpoints of these two characters.

There is a hint hidden within each journal entry, so that students will be able to check their work and see if they are correct once each is ordered correctly by coming up with two words spelled out based on those hints.
