This is a very effective small group activity that I use to analyze a section of the textbook. I usually put the students in groups of two or three.
I instruct the students to read the section together. Once they have read the section I have them start to work on the 3-2-1 Presentation Worksheet. The main focus on this activity is not so much what the students write down from the textbook. The main focus and chief idea is for them to explain the importance of that they wrote down. This is the key way they can show their critical-thinking and understanding of what they read.
I have the groups create a presentation for their responses. They can either use the class laptops and create a Prezi, PowerPoint, or GoogleSlide. If the laptops are not available, I have them create a poster with their responses.
In either case, they must present their answers to the class. I normally choose 3-4 groups to present per section.
I believe this facilitates stronger learning because they are not only teaching the class, but they will also have other groups teach them as well.
