Textiles are used throughout interior design to incorporate color, pattern, and rhythm into a space. They are also used to create functional and fashionable designs that we wear every day. This presentation can be used and adapted to meet the curriculum needs for a variety of courses. It discusses: fibers, yarns, fabric construction, types of weaves, leather, fabric modifications, dyes, finishes, and more. Links to related videos are included throughout the PowerPoint. This would serve as a great introduction or foundation to a textiles unit. Please see the accompanying "Textiles Notes" to go along with the presentation.
