When students see they got a question wrong on a multiple choice test, do they really go back and consider WHY they got it wrong?
This post-test strategy forces students to look at specific questions and explain why the right answer option is correct and why the other options are not correct. In addition, students are required to provide textual evidence through a quotation to support their explanation. On the back, students must complete a mini-vocab study using two words they choose from the text or the question.
This works well as a jigsaw activity in small groups or partners. It can also be a useful tool for demonstrating differentiation and targeted instruction in the classroom. This is also a great activity for SAT/ACT prep!
This is a two page document, meant to be copied back-to-back and cut into half-sheets ----Which cuts down on copies! :-)
