Texture Visual Arts Lesson for K to 3rd Grade using Rubbings
Texture is an interesting art element. Students really enjoy the magic of doing texture rubbings. There are 3 individual lessons included. Kindergarteners will learn how to use lines to create a design by crossing or intersecting the lines. Next, students will do texture rubbings.
In 1st and 2nd grade they will learn how to use lines to create a design with a focal point. Then students use their line designs to do texture rubbings which will be painted. The 3rd graders will learn how to use lines to create a focal point, and create simulated and invented textures using markers.
