These 16 Task Cards were designed as supplemental activities based on the short story "Thank You Ma'am" by Langston Hughes.
Cut out, print, and laminate the 15 task cards before using. I personally prefer to print my task cards on cardstock for durability, however printer paper does just fine.
These tasks cards can be used in small groups, whole group, or independent practice. Students should use their own sheet of paper to respond to each task card. These task cards can also be uploaded via digital format for 1:1 classrooms.
Due to copyright policies, the story “Thank You Ma’am” by Langston Hughes is not added to these task cards. You will have to find a copy of the short story and share it with your students.
