PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

In this grammar practice, students will correct dialogue from the short story "Thank You, M'am" by Langston Hughes. There are eleven sentences and underneath each is space for corrections. A key is included.

I refer to this page as the "you a lie!" assignment because that's always my students' favorite quote from Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones! I've found that my students are very successful with this assignment, even the ones who struggle with their own grammar.
