As students start to bring in items from my wish list, I fill out one of these small Thank You notes to send home to let the parents know I got their donation.
I keep track of items donated (Listing here:https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Tracker-for-classroom-donations-and-volunteers-2057773 ) and mark them off when I send a Thank You home. A few years ago, I saw a fellow teacher who used a permanent marker to write "Thank you, (student first name) and (student last name) family!" on the box of tissues or container of wipes. I started doing that immediately. Kids love to see their names on the items they donated around the room when I set them on our counters.
Copy these notes in color (4 to a page) as you start to collect donations to your room at the beginning of the school year. 4 pages of notes with "Thank You!" in different styles.
