How does this work?

Your download will come with 4 files: student activity sheets, teacher lesson plans, and a PowerPoint, and a PDF with Google Slide™ links. Simply print, gather your materials, and GO! No need to look for extra activities, or write out your lesson plans.

Update November 2020: This product can now be used digitally with Google Slides! You must have a Google Classroom account to use this feature. You will download a PDF with links and directions for assigning this to your class. All activities remain the same (see below).

Lessons Included:

  • Reading: 4 activity sheets that focus on comprehension, vocabulary, and character traits. The comprehension questions can be used as an informal or formal assessment.
  • Math: 8 task cards plus a student recording sheet. Skills include addition, subtraction, measurement, geometry, patterns, and word problems. These are aimed for a 4/5 grade level but may vary depending on the needs of your class.
  • Writing: Students will step into Sarah's shoes and write a persuasive article. Brainstorming and 2 versions of recording pages are included. Sample this lesson as a freebie here!
  • Science: Challenge your students with an engaging STEM activity. Challenge cards and a voting/ballot card are included.
  • Social Studies: Learn about major events in the United States during Sarah's lifetime. Follow a PowerPoint with scaffolded notes. Then, break into groups and complete a class timeline project.
