2-Page master page for creating your own "postcards" to use as a writing activity. Run copies back-to-back on regular copy paper or card stock, then cut page in half to create two different "postcards." Students color in the pictures on the front and a "stamp" on the back. Lines are provided for students to write "addresses" and a short message.
Use to teach about letter writing and/or addresses, as a center activity, or a fun filler. Have students write postcards to each other, school staff, family members, parent helpers, military personnel, children in hospitals, nursing home residents, etc.
I used postcards a lot in my second grade classroom for "thank yous" or "put ups," so they doubled as socio-emotional lessons as well as writing practice.
