Description
Use these playing cards to let kids practice talking about and reading different things that they are thankful for. They can also help kids think of additional things to say thank you for. This is a great activity for Thanksgiving or as a way to help teach about gratitude.
Speaking Practice
Students practice saying a complete sentence and then giving details.
Reading Practice
Use the helping cards with the sentence starter for students to practice reading. There are pictures to help emergent readers.
Games
Kids can use the card to play concentration.
Sorting
Use the sorting headers for students to sort the thankful cards into the home, school, and the community. Also, sort into different types of nouns (people, places, things)
