Thankful Turkey: Thanksgiving Art Lesson and Thanksgiving Writing Prompt. This is a fun and thoughtful lesson plan and art activity to do before the Thanksgiving holiday. This activity requires students to reflect on the people and things in their lives they are thankful for. The kids share their thankfulness with the class and discover they have many things in common.
You can print these turkey parts on cardstock or construction paper in traditional colors or for fun you can print them using different colors. The kids will have fun mixing all the colors they like to create a unique looking turkey ; )
The turkeys look great hanging from the ceiling or on a wall. Make sure to send them home just before the Thanksgiving break to share with their families : )
