I hope that your students enjoy celebrating their individuality while creating their own unique turkey.
Included in this product:
Turkey Glyph Questions
Turkey Cutouts (face, body, feet, wings, nose, feathers, and snood)
Turkey Glyph Coloring Page
Venn Diagram (includes cut/paste glyph pictures)
Students will complete the Turkey Glyph questions
Print and cut out turkey body parts (it is suggested that you print on cardstock for durability)
Students will create their own unique turkey based on answers to the turkey glyph questions (you can use glue or brads to hold the turkey together)
**Variation: instead of having students cut and glue their turkey together, they can use the coloring page to create their glyph. Students would simply color the parts of the turkey based on how they answered the questions on the worksheet.
When students have completed their glyph, they can share their results with the class. The class can discuss ways they are similar and different to one another.
**Variation: pair students up and have them complete the Venn-Diagram comparing and contrasting their results. Students will then introduce themselves to the rest of the class. (students will glue venn- diagram pictures onto their venn-diagram showing how they are similar and different to their partner)
This activity can also be done in an individual setting as a way for the counselor/teacher to get to know the student better.
