Hello! Thank you for looking at Thankful to Learn About and Use Inferencing Skills. This lesson was designed to teach students how to inference, provide examples of inferencing and graphic organizers and scenarios to practice the ability to inference all around a Thanksgiving Day theme.
Slides are as follows:
Slide 1 – Title and Information Page
Slide 2 – How to Make an Inference Poster
Slides 3 and 4 – Examples of Inferences Posters
Slide 5 – You Make the Inference Poster
Slides 6-12 – Inference Scenarios all around a Thanksgiving Theme – 4 scenarios per page.
Slides 13 & 14 – Graphic Organizers to Facilitate Inferencing.
Slides 15-19 – Posters with less color for printing.
******** Before printing, please look through slides, as some slides consume less ink. If you choose to print a brighter background to print one of the posters, you may wish to do that, however, if you would like to use less ink, I included slides without color backgrounds.*******
I designed this lesson because not only do most of my students have goals and difficulty with inferencing, but also to develop the ability to identify problems and possible solutions, analyze and integrate information, select significant information as pertinent to the topic, use inductive and deductive reasoning and make contributions in group discussions.
