Thanksgiving dinner is so much fun in speech when you play Race to the Table!
Print a copy of the phoneme page needed for each student (use scale to fit paper when printing). White card stock works well if you use paint daubers. They can also color each turkey or mark them the way you choose. The point, of course, is to elicit 100 or more productions of the phonemes! You can print just the pages OR you can play the game using wishbone cards and plates/utensil cards to trick your students into making 100 productions!
Students pull a number card and elicit the number of productions and then dot the corresponding number of turkeys. Students pull a wishbone card and get an extra turkey to dot (and say an extra word). Students pull a plate/utensil card and must elicit TEN extra words and dot ten extra turkeys. The student who dots all of their turkeys first is the winner AND you get tons of data! It's a winner winner turkey dinner!!
I hope you and your students are motivated to Race to the Table and get tons of productions in speech therapy!
If you enjoyed my Race to the Rainbow game-you will love this one too!
