Need a simple but meaningful way for students to experience and compare the lives of children living in the New World around the time of the first Thanksgiving. Using three quality resources, Samuel Eaton's Day, Sarah Morton's Day,
and Tapenum's Day,
as well as an excellent website from Scholastic, students learn about the daily lives of children.
This resource includes lotus diagrams, Venn diagrams, links to websites and books, and written responses and extensions.
I've used this activity for years with my third graders and they are always amazed at how different life was compared to today.
