This is an original story for you to use for a variety of Thanksgiving Activities! It's called, "If You Give a Turkey a Taco Shell". The story starts with Turkey and an empty shell. She goes along finding the rest of the ingredients from her friends... Hippo/Hamburger, Turtle/Tomatoes, Lion/Lettuce, and Cow/Cheese (notice the alliteration that's screaming teaching moment?). Each animal adds their item and finally they get a table from a teacher and the last person is the reader, which Turkey invites to their Thanksgiving Taco celebration!
There are numerous teaching moments packed into this Easy Reader! Sequencing, Retelling, Alliteration, and so much more. I've helped to bring these moments to life by including the following teaching goodies to the reader:
~5 Comprehension Printables (maps, vocabulary, sequencing)
~BONUS~ 10 printables with additional practice in sequencing, mapping, etc.
~Retelling Stick Puppets, complete with a Puppet Stage!

~Interactive Notebook Story Wheel and Sequencing Flip-Flaps... Many levels of each are provided to differentiate with your high/low learners! They do NOT need to be used in a notebook, but can be.
~Story Sequencing Mobile Craftivity~ Also perfect for retells!
So this packet is filled with activities to practice numerous skills that you can tie into Thanksgiving. The story is adorable and the graphics are perfect for it.
