This is a Thanksgiving activity that asks students to write or draw things that they are thankful for on a 4” x 4” paper quilt block. They can color/decorate their quilt block as desired. You simply piece the blocks together to form a paper quilt that you can display on a bulletin board or in the hallway.
Another option (that adds more color to the quilt) is to cut squares larger than 4” x 4” out of colored paper or material and ask students to glue their block onto the larger square. Then piece together the blocks to make a paper quilt.
Quilts can be made for classroom, small learning communities, grade levels, or the entire student body!
