Thank you for purchasing the Thanksgiving Addition Bump Games. This set of five engaging games provides a fun and interactive way for your students to work on addition fact fluency.
Included in this packet you will find:
- Addition Bump Game
- Multi-Step Addition Bump Game
- Addition Bump Game using Tally Marks
- Addition Bump Game using Number Words
- Addition Bump Game using Roman Numerals
- Four Printable Dice- traditional, tally marks, number words, and roman numerals
Bump games are designed for two players. In addition to the game board and two dice, you will also need some sort of playing pieces for each player. I like to use unifix cubes, but any sort of small counter or token will also work. Each player will need 10 playing pieces.
In addition to a traditional Bump addition game, I've included several other versions including tally marks, roman numerals, and number words. I particularly like these versions because it enables students to work on an additional skill while they practice fact fluency. I have also included a multi step addition Bump game in which students add their two dice together, then add a set number that is given in the instructions on the game board.
You'll also find several dice variations included. Again, this is because I like to work on mastery of other areas, such as roman numerals and number words, while enforcing fact fluency. Don't forget-- Bump games require TWO dice to play, so make sure to print out two copies of whatever dice you want to use.
Bump games are one of my favorite ways to practice fact fluency. It's a fast paced and engaging activity which means that students are having fun and learning at the same time. Bump games are ideal for math centers, early finishers, small group instruction, and even as a little extra take home activity for students to do with their parents.
The instructions are printed right at the bottom of the game board, so students can easily reference them if they forget how to play.
Thank you again for your purchase. I hope you enjoy the Thanksgiving Addition Bump Games as much as I do.
